I had a great time in our Project Wet & Wild workshops. The materials and lessons that we learned are so easily adaptable to any age group or subject area, and will definitely come into play in my future teaching career. I look forward to hopefully be able to participate in a Below Zero workshop as well.
Thanks to all our presenters!

Project Wet and Project Wild were really great workshops that provided so many useful and fun resources. I will definately take what I learned these two days and use that information in my future classrooms.

I am hopeful that what we have learned through PLACE will find its way into our future teaching and learning experiences. It is important that together we continue the dialogue of discovery.

PLACE may have helped us understand the relevance and integral nature of three key conceptual elements. The concepts of sustainability, community, and a third; humility, born out of gratitude are the ingredients which collectively provide the foundation for making sense of what we are experiencing together during the 2009-2010 pre-intership.

These elements are cohesively linked to PLACE and will emerge in different ways through our practice. Remember to catch them as they happen.

This workshop was amazing. I learned so much and only wish more had gone to it. Hopefully we can get them to come back so others can experience what this workshop has to offer.

Thank you so much for your presentation. It really touched me deep inside. I connected to so much of what you said and got so much out of it. Hearing what you said really opened up my eyes and made me think about things in a different way, for example, how we are always teachers. I enjoyed your stories very much and hope to have the opprotunity to hear you speak to us again in the future.

Thank-you so much for taking time out of your day to come speak to our class. Your presentation was very moving and inspirational. I absolutely loved the story about your daughter and how it took her 92 driving lessons to get her license! I give her credit for not giving up!
Before hearing you speak I had never really thought much about an inclusive classroom or community. After hearing you speak however, an inclusive classroom is something I am going to strive so hard to achieve when I am a classroom teacher. I want to do whatever it takes to make all studnets welcome and comfortable in my classroom. Thanks so much for talking about thsi issue with us. I think know it is somthing that will help all of us be better teachers!

Thank-you President Vianne Timmons for speaking to us! It is so wonderful to have the president of our university have a background in what we are taking. Your speech was amazing! You really taught me a lot about what it takes to include an inclusive community. I enjoyed hearing about your daughter's life experiences. Thank-you for sharing this! One of your statements/quotes I absolutely loved, it was "Ignorance breeds fear and knowledge breeds compassion". This is something I will remember always. Thanks again for speaking with us!

Thank you Dr. Timmons! All I could think about is how privledged our University is to have a president such as yourself. I was so happy and proud to learn that our president has a passion for inclusive education. Your speech was anything but boring. It didn't need a fancy powerpoint or frills of any sort. The words you spoke were so powerful and I'm sure they touched all of our hearts. I think that teaching and learning is all about compassion and your speech proved that to be true. As many others did, I really enjoyed the quote: "Ignorance breeds fear and knowledge breeds compassion". Thank you for sharing your wisdom and experiences with us! -Joanna
